Is Madagascar an island or a country?
Madagascar is both a country and a large island in the Indian Ocean, off the south-east coast of Africa. It is the fourth-largest island in the world and offers beaches, baobabs, tropical forests, national parks and lemurs.
Can I visit Madagascar with a total budget of €1,000?
Yes, a budget of around €1,000 can allow you to discover Madagascar depending on the length of stay, regions chosen, type of accommodation and activities. We can design a programme adapted to your budget.
How many days should I plan?
One week is enough to discover one area in depth. 10 to 15 days or more allow you to combine several regions (Nosy Be + West, or East + Highlands, etc.).
Where is Isalo National Park?
Isalo National Park is located in the Ihorombe region in southern Madagascar, accessible via National Road 7 (RN7) from Antananarivo or Tulear.
What is Reniala Reserve?
Reniala is a private nature reserve in Mangily-Ifaty (south-west). It protects a baobab and didieraceae forest and is home to around sixty endemic bird species.
What can you see in Andasibe?
Andasibe is famous for its national park where you can observe the Indri (the largest lemur), as well as many endemic birds, chameleons and plants.
What is the Ampefy excursion?
Ampefy is a charming town on the shores of Lake Itasy, a few hours from Antananarivo. The 3-day getaway includes Lily waterfall, Analavory geyser and lemurs.
Where is Masoala National Park?
Masoala National Park is on the north-east coast. It is the largest national park on the island (more than 2,300 km² of rainforest).
How many days for Nosy Be?
3 to 5 days for a good first discovery. A full week allows you to combine the island with several neighbouring-island excursions (Nosy Iranja, Nosy Komba, Tanikely…).
